Director's Office, 10PM

Col. Dalton read over the message he had received. It seems the Los Angeles team needed help and Prime had requested two trainees by codename. Prepping the papers he would need, the Colonel was about to tap the comm when a shadowy figure "stepped" into the room accompanied by Gateway. "Both of you?"

"Prime's message indicated it would be necessary in this case. The situation on hand will only allow them thirty minutes and we'll be back at that time. Probably best to get them now." Col. Dalton sighed, nodded, and then picked up the phone to hit the comms for the Barracks. "Attention Gamma 5s! This is Col. Dalton. Golem, Shadowhunter, report to my office in the next thirty minutes leave only what you do not need and be in uniform." He dropped the receiver on the cradle, nodded at Shift as he teleported away, and picked up the paperwork to finish the transfer.

In a short while, once the two trainees had arrived....

Col. Dalton laid out two Bravo uniforms with Los Angeles colors on them as he spoke. "We can modify the silver and orange on them later. There is a bathroom in the hallway you can take turns using to change into your new uniforms. Prime, the team leader in LA, requested you two by codename. Your rides will be here in just a few minutes." Sitting down his chair, Dalton finished off the last of the paperwork and leaned back in his chair. It was late and, like every day, he had much to do tomorrow.

He layed facing up on his bed, counting the swishes of the fans. The silent blades did nothing to break the focus of Steven Drake, aka Shadowhunter, as he pondered possibilities. Soon he was going to be joining a team and with it new challenges and worse, personalities. He let out a deep breath with the comms came over telling him it was time to report. A smile came across his lips, "Finally..."

Shadowhunter was in the office in what seemed like a matter of moments. He only stopped by to grab his utlity belt and pouches from the armory. When handed the uniform, he immediately changed. It was a good fit, but heavier then the Training Center ones. Maybe it was the responsibility that came with it. "Colonel," he asked reading the atmosphere in the room, "We're going in hot aren't we?"

Sue was lying on her bed, replying to mails on her laptop and listening to music, when she heard the intercom summoning her to the administration office. 'Oh, shit...', she got worried at first. What if someone told them what happened at the rooftop pool a day ago, and she'll now get a reprimand? But then, why would they call her at this hour for some punishment pep talk? Even these not-so-ordinary folks at Crusaders had to go by normal standards now and then.

As she heard they requested her to be in uniform and packed, all within thirty minutes, she quickly folded up the laptop and began to put together her belongings. 'So, this is going to be more exciting than I thought, afterall.' Fortunately she only brought the most necessary stuff with her to the training center, so it wasn't a bit task to pack up quickly. She then got out of her nightgown, and put on her uniform, which she still felt was a bit uncomfortable, but who cares?

She arrived to the office right on time. It seemed Steve got there first. "Hi!", she turned to the man quietly, while lurking at his expressions. She hoped he had already forgiven her the misbehaviour at the pool.

"Colonel.", she then stood next to Steve and looked at their superior. It was probably the second or third time she had seen the man, and the first time she actually talked to him.

She tried to grasp what the Colonel was saying, and her heart began to beat much faster, and she felt sweating on her forehead. She became really anxious. This meant that she was finally assigned to a team. LA! In fact, she hoped she could get into some more exotic place, such as South America or Australia, but the beaches and the nightlife in the LA area were more than inviting. Also, it was sorta reassuring to have Steve assigned to the same team. She felt more confident having him around, the veteran man had the experience Sue lacked. On the other hand, it all came so quickly. She thought she'll have some time to adjust herself, taken to her destination by plane or something, have some time getting to know her teammates, etc. But now, it seemed she's going to get into the 'fun' so prematurely. 'So, it's LA...'

"Understood, sir.", she spoke up then, looking at the two uniforms on the desk, and glanced at Steve, to see how did the man react to the news of them literally being thrown into the deep water. And so soon.

Col. Dalton looked at the duo after they had changed into their new uniforms. As he was about to speak, there was very muffled pop and Shift appeared with Gateway. "One of you is traveling with Gateway and the other with Shift. Your assignment to a team is one thing while the choice of duty once there is up to your team leader, in this case, Prime."

"Golem, you can leave your stuff here as Shadowhunter will take it with him when transported by Gateway." With that said, Shift set her bags on the floor next to Gateway's foot. "You may be slightly disoriented on arrival." With a hand rested on her shoulder, they were suddenly gone.

Gateway turned, extended a hand, and a portal was created leading into the end of a hallway leading to a room. With its other hand, it picked up Golem's bags and tossed them into the room. "There you go, Shadowhunter. Your new home awaits." As soon as he stepped through, the portal closed behind him.
